What's the point if everything goes away within days

I am an avid Pinterest user. More than surfing there, I have been constantly uploading stuff of various kinds. To taste some fame, i bought Pinterest followers from here. They gave me a boost but for only a week. The followers are already unfollowing and I'll be soon be back at the original. What's the damn point??
